Dr. Frank Fuller, Chairman
Mathematics Department
San Jose State University
San Jose, Cal
Dear Dr. Fuller:
\JHere (finally) is the form. I've asked Dr. Tony Hearn, Chairman
of the Computer Science Dept at Utah, and Dr. William McKeeman, Chairman
at UCSC for letters. Dr. Michael Gordon and/or Dr. Friedrich von Henke,
here at the labs will be coerced into writing as well.
I've talked with your bookstore and probably they will have the manuscript
by the time this letter reaches you. American Elisevier and McGraw-Hill are
both seriously interested in publishing the book. I have signed
nothing with either company so there's no problem about duplicating
the material.
I promised Mike a promotional blurb about the course content; I have not
forgotten, but I've been pushing to get a reasonable manuscript to your
printers. People, other than fanciers of data structures,
should also be interested in this course.
I would recommend it to anyone interested in
anything from formal logic to compiler writing.
I'm enclosing a revised table of contents, which more faithfully
reflects the course structure.\.
